Spring Trend Look Book

So I did a little research to find out what the spring trends for this year are. I didn't totally like all of them so i added a couple of trends that i'm excited about! So let's get started! 

Overalls!

I really love this outfit for chillier spring days, it's a good mix of casual and comfy but still put together.

Tea-Length Skirts!

If you didn't already know, tea-length skirts are below your knee but not as long as maxi skirts. So you get all the comfort of knowing that your butt isn't going to fall out, but it's still super cute.

Pastels! 

April showers bring may flowers. Pastels are uber cute and happy, so why not brighten up a rainy day.

Crop Tops!

 Crop tops aren't always the most flattering so this is my take on more flattering crop tops.

Florals!

I looooove florals, but instead of your classic light colored spring-y floral I went with this darker edgier one.

What's in my Etsy shopping cart?

 Etsy is the most amazing website, if you don't already know what it is, it's a website where people can sell their handmade/custom products. I love giving gifts and all my best gifts that I have given have come from Etsy. To show you the wonders of Etsy.com I'm going to share with you what's in my shopping cart right at this moment.

My Top Five Favorite Books

I am a HUGE fan of reading! It's one of my favorite things to do, it's just so relaxing. So, I thought I'd share with you my top five favorite books that I think everyone should read!

1. Harry Potter

       

I'll admit I am a huge Harry Potter Nerd but I believe that everyone should read at least the first Harry Potter book, it is so wonderful.

2. How to Say Goodbye in Robot

This book is amazing. It's about a girl in high school with a complicated life , then she meets a strange boy and her life gets even more twists and turns. I'll be honest this is a super hipster book but still amazing.

3. The Fault in Our Stars

I know I probably sound like the typical teenage girl by saying that this is one of my favorite books, but this was so beautifully written and will change your view on life. It is very sad (I ugly cried) but it is worth the sadness. Please read this book!!

4. The Burn Journals

 This is a true story about a boy that tried to kill himself by setting himself on fire and his journey back to recovery.

5. 20 Boy Summer

I cried so much reading this book, even though it made me cry it was still amazing. This is a really great book to read during the summer.

February Faves

February has come to an end, and hopefully so has all of this cold weather! I've decided to show you guys some of my favorite things from February!

Fashion-

-Blue Scarf: I got this scarf at Tilly's about two years ago, I hadn't worn it in a while but I wore it a lot in February. 

-Blue Bubble Necklace: I actually don't know where this is from because my friend Olivia (Classygirlwithcurls.com) gave it to me for Christmas! 

-Toms: I wear these shoes almost every day, I even had to get a new pair before the school year started because my old ones were falling apart.

-Puffy Vest: My Mom got me this Lands' End vest for Christmas and i absolutely adore it!

Beauty-

-Clinique Happy Perfume: I have wanted this perfume for years but could never bring myself to pay that much for perfume, but luckily my mom got it for me as a present.

-Naked Skin Foundation: I absolutely love this foundation, but I'm a little pale for it right now so I mix it with a lighter drugstore foundation and it's just right!

-ELF Pointed Foundation Brush: out of every foundation brush I've ever used this has to be my absolute favorite.

-ELF Lip Stain: I always think lipstick looks funny on me but lip stain looks awesome

-Benefit "They're Real" Mascara: without a doubt this is the best mascara i have ever owned.

-ELF Highlighting Wand: to be honest i prefer highlighting over contouring and this wand is amazing ot highlight with.

 Other-

 -Merona Tote: I got this tote bag at target and it's perfect. I'm the vice president of the Best Buddies at my school and we go out to the mall or to the movies a lot. I'm the kind of person who brings everything that anyone might need and this bag is perfect to carry everything.

-Kate Spade "Chit Chat" Phone Case: I really like this case because it's protective and cute.

-Fossil Wristlet: this is so perfect it can hold my money, ID, and keys perfectly.

-UChic Planner: First of all, I decorated my planner with floral duct tape and paint markers. This planner is designed for college students, but even though I'm not in college Yet I really love it because it has a To-Do list for every week. This planner really saved me in February.
